You've probably had this one many times before, so I apologise in advance.

Basically, I have followed the your guide for converting .avi to dvd with several files - when I get to the bitrate settings stage, the file length is *always* shown to be about 270 minutes, despite the movie length being only 100 - 150 mins. Obviously this makes the file far too big to burn to dvd.

Why is it doing this?! I have checked and fiddled with everything, but to no avail. Help!

    Hey,
    I get the same problem.
I followed the guide, but I can't get to 97% the lowest I get is 127%
Is there anything else I can adjust to make it fit? Or will I sacrifice too much quality?

    hi

do yourself a flavour and get the free app...

DivxToDVD (FREE app / fast fast fast! / load 2 avi's to get one film! or mpegs / output size smallest i know! / quailty V-Good! / sound sync sorted on auto!) outputs vob/ifo/bup (dvd structure) to burn in say nero etc...

or load to dvd shrink to add 2 sets of converted films then output to dvd decrypter...

just load click go sit back! relax....
