    I have a Sony 48X ( CRX210E1 ).
The problem i am facing is , When i try to write anything the nero software shows successful burning message but I am not able to read that same CD in that same drive.
That CD is not readable from any other drive either.
I have tried to burn at much lower speed that written on the CD.
On the backside of the CD I am able to see that expected data has been burnt.
    I have nero 5.5 , win2k installed (with NTFS) .
Is their any problem with my drive or with the software. I am using all default options from Nero.

I have that same drive at work, and I think the drive is a piece of crap. I use a Buslink 48x burner made by Lite-On at home, never had those problems.. I also have problems with my pc locking up when burning at 48x.. again, only with the Sony CDRW drive. I also burnt many unusable disks with the same drive, and have found that it works well when you have an image or create/burn from an image when I drop the speed down to 32x, who knows.. this may work for you as well.

    Alternatively, try different burning software.

    Cheers!
