Hi, i have recently got the DVDRW 208 and installed it sucessfully, it will read and write CD's and data DVD's but it will not read DVD's Videos or write DVD's, anyone got any ideas?? When i go to write a dvd it says that it is waiting for the drive to become available, and if you take the DVD+RW out then it will say the drive is avaible!! I hope someone can help me out, thanx in advance. JP
Having the exact same problem, mine will record and play cd's but nothing with dvd's, if you figure it out!! Please let me know
the 208 will not write to dvd+r. It is impossible even with firmware. If the box that the unit came in doesnt say it will write to dvd+r then youre pretty much screwed. previous boxes like the one i bought said that they could so philips had to replace my drive with the new 228. good luck
