Ok! I am having trouble making a dvdrip for backup. I've been searching for quie a while for similar problems on this forum and online. I want to watch my dvd on my computer like normal, you know, like divx files, .avi, .divx, etc... Anyway, I have the file image on the computer with a Video_TS folder. There are 15 files in that folder, with 5 of those being the actual movie, they are in .vob format. What can I do? To rephrase, I want to make a dvdrip to watch on my Windows and Mac computers. You know how there are 700mb dvdrips out? Well this is basically what I want to do, but for myself. If I am breaking any rules by asking this, I apologize, please lock this immediatly. If you need anymore information, or for me to be more or less specific, please reply! Thanks in advance! !
So in essence you want to take a full size 4+ GB DVD rip and covert it to a 700MB DiVX file, correct? I've done this on occasion by ripping the DVD (movie only) to my hard drive with DVD Decrypter in File mode then I used DVDx to convert the files to Xvid. DVD Decrypter: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/dvd_decrypter.cfm DVDx: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/dvdx.cfm Koepi's Xvid: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/codecs_and_filters/xvid.cfm

Oh my god, thank you, I will work with this. I will come back if i'm having problems! Thankyou very much!
Oh uhhm, do any of those programs work with Mac OS X? It's because my Windows comp is slow and low on space. If not I can work around this problem!
I honestly couldn't tell you if any of those are Mac compatible. When you click each link I gave you there should be another link to the software's home page where you could look for a Mac version
