ok i have : nec2500a burner 1.09 firmware winxp sp1 3.2ghz intel 1gb ram ive burned at least 500+ dvds successfully when i try to back up other movies or copies i get errors, usually CRC, i can watch the dvd's just fine on dvd player, but cant encode or burn could this be ... burner wearing out due to usage? minor scratches on dvd (can watch movie but not able to use dvd shrink or dvd decrypt) or both? its just frustrating when sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt, i hope its just the scratches and not the actual burner crapping out on me
