Hello all, I'm new to this forum and have found it to be a very good source for information, would someone be able to tell me if I would be able to record a retail movie onto the hard drive of my ILO dvd if I install the hack version firmware? cause I have installed the hacked version but I cant copy the retail movie to the HD so I can then burn to a CD, can someone give me the instructions or a newbie guide on how to do this?

    Thanks in advance,

the only way i've been able to do this is by hooking up another dvd player to the rear input, and then hitting "play" to play the movie. I then hit "record" on the Ilo to record to the hard drive..

I don't think there is a way to copy a dvd movie to the hard drive without actually watching/recording it through the inputs. (in other words you can't put it in the drive and just hit "copy to hdd".

I believe you can do this if the dvd is burned in the same format as the Ilo burns.
