ILO/LiteOn Firmware Upgrade Compatability Question

    I have the ilodvdr04, love it and have downloaded the firmware upgrade (to disable MACRO) and dear god is this machine good for $149. My question is this.

    My friend has a Lite On LVW5006. Will the firmware upgrade that disables Macro work on this model? Im not sure and was just curious. Thanks a million you guys as this site has been extremely helpful....

    OOOOPS, its either the LVW5006 or LVW5005, not sure which one....if that makes a difference

    The firmware you have will not work on his liteon. You can get the hacker app here http://ilohacker.tripod.com/ and run it on the firmware for his recorder and it will hack it for you.
