Nokia Dbox2

Is the ftp function of the nokia dbox 2 part of the image or is it a lower level function of the operating system? I want to put a new image on my box, someone keeps changing the keys lol, and I completely understand ftp and how to use it but am not sure if ftp will disappear during the flashing process as there can't be enough memory to hold 2 images, so first needs deleting first (I suppose).

I don't want to brick it.

Can anyone recommend a good image - I don't know what to choose - currently on Sportster.

 

Ok got new ifa turns out i had an old out of date copy and new commando image thanks to turner123 (link on page 71 of this forum )the box that was freezing is fixed (at long long last)and ill try the other box after dinner

hi mate laky pro is the image i used and ive not had any problems with it. if you flash using ifa this erases the image you have on your box for you then puts the new image on. you can find this image by downloading the bigmaq toolbar.

Turner ive been following this thread for weeks mate but it was when i looked at your video i seen the ifa i was using was not the same as yours so i used your one and hay presto both my boxes are working aswell as my mates box ive just flashed (still cant do it from desktop pc though god knows why).one of the boxes was a nightmare it wouldnt register the services took me about five shots at it any idea why it was a 2x nokia the others werea 1x and a 2x sagem

some times when you scan with a new image you can just get all them straight away or you can scan several times just one of those things, what you should of done is scan on 1 box sort out the bouquets how you wanted then back them up via ftp then when you flashed another box ftp them to the other box would save a huge amount of time also you have them all backed up so if anything happens then no ball ache of scanning n sorting the channels out, thanks for the apreciation of the video think your the 1st out of hundreds that has viewed it said it has helped you in some way or another, my many hours making has been worth it now, thanks kewlguy98

 

Hey, Im having a few problems with mine. I'm in Leeds and my box has been working fine for ages, but I turned it on this morning and it will only display the terrestrial channels. The other channels Sky Sports etc, still come up with the EPG, but when I try to select these I just get a blank screen.
I'm running Commando and I've tried a re-scan, can anyone suggest something else that I may be able to do?

turner can you help me i have lky pr1 image and in my scan settings it says internal error plz report i dont no why its saying it never did b4 any idears my location is not it any of the settings but i still get channels

 

i have not used that image well i did flash it to my box but took it off 5mins later, not 100% sure but looks like a file is corrupt, if its bothering you flash the box with another image just as a process of elimination as a starting point

 

1st post on afterdawn so apologies if I'm posting in th wrong thread but this one appeared to be the busiest one on the subject of dbox.

I've just started looking into getting one but am pretty much clueless about what I would actually get. I've had a look round some tutorials today but they wee all referring to cable boxes.. We don't have cable in this area but I do have Sky HD.

I've noticed on ebay there appears to be some 'ready-to-go' boxes for satellite but I don't want to rush into this and end up with a load of German TV.

Sky Digtial is uncrackable so if anyone claims to have done so, its bullshit end of story.

 

their was a key change that occured yesterday, have you got the latest Nagra files to resolve the issue, if not then I suggest you flash the box with the Laky Pro image, which has the fix.

What make of box do you have Nokia/Sagem

Also I dont live far from Leeds so can sort you out.

 

UDP 67/68 is used by DHCP - so most likely you are running the Internet Sharing on your pc. Go into services and stop this service also I would also stop an Anti Virus running and also the firewall on your PC and also change your network settings to 1- half duplex, as this seems to work better with IFA.

 

Hi I find myself in a position were I need to buy a new dbox2 as leaving my old sagem box with the X and the kids, So can you guys on here that know your stuff about these boxs recommend the best make and image to get. Thanks in advance

Hi scOuser i have a prob with the eurovox max v hope you can help i have had the new fix and software on the box for a while and all working fine till last night when the screen just flashed cannot find signal and is still there all channels the same,should i reload software and fix or do you know if it could be something else i am with ch***s in the limerick area

 

filbur you should post on the Eurovox thread and we will see what we can do from there. No signal usually means just that have you checked all your connection.
