computer takes a long time to recognize cd's and dvd's

    Can anyone help? All of the sudden it takes almost a minute for both of my drive to recognize that I put a cd or dvd in it. Thanks

    Check in Device Manager to see if they are both listed as in DMA mode.

    I have checked and they are both in DMA.
