I'm not sure if this is the exact forum for this, and if not I apologize ahead of time, but here's the question:

I am using a Samsung SCD80 DV Camcorder and I am trying to get the video to my computer with little/no loss. I connected it to my computer via Firewire and had no problem getting Adobe Premiere to capture the content, but whenever I export the movie and open it with Quicktime, it looks like the footage is in a widescreen-like format with blotches in that block, and below it there is a large amount of space (half of the viewable screen) that is green blotches and either black or white blotches with it but no video there as if it did half video and half of some type of blockish splatter of color.

If anyone can tell me how to do it or point me in the direction of a guide to do this, it would be highly appreciated.

    thanks in advance.
