I tried using srt2sup to get the .srt files in the format for dvd, but I guess the first .srt has a problem with it (video files are split at the moment), so I'm thinking i just want them on all the time. How would i go about making my .srt subs encoded into the video? I tried using virtualdub and adding it to the stream and saving, didnt work though. I did it with direct stream copy, do i need to do full processing? or am I going about this the wrong way? Thanks in advance
Video__Full processing mode is the option to set. But inserting that file on a DVD will be a loss of time (garbage in = garbage out, A VCD is more than enough). For a full guide on encoding subtitles on a MPG/AVI, http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/divx_with_subtitles_to_vcd.cfm or PM me (ever read http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/143574?)
Figured the solution...figure I will post it incase anyone searchs this problem... The VOBsub filter has some option pieces to be installed...there is two for virtualdub....one does the .ifo, the other...called txt-somethen-or-other does .srt and the such. Hope that helps someone
