music files for ipod

    Just got an ipod and need to know what i need to be able to use all the mp3s that are on my hard drive.

    From what I can see of the files that i have downloaded via itunes they are mgeg4, do I need to convert the mp3's ?

    I have the 20GB iPod. You would need to use the compatable formats. MP3/AAC. If you have mp3s then just connect your cable and sync-up.
