led's broken off, but still doing something

    hey my led is broken off on my xecuter 2.3b lite, but if i screw the xapter down tight, the xbox turns on and off twice, then frags and if i set the switch to disable, the ms dash boots up. the led on the switch doesn't come on, tho. does this mean that i do need a new chip?
