Probably because one has not been needed. Hell Shrink by it's lonesome opened 300, but I used cloneDVD to do movie only without a hitch.

Seems since the studios got into trouble over making the copy protection so difficult it effected some players, they've backed off. Some people had to make backups in order to watch the movies. LOL The originals were making the players act screwy.

I thought it was 1 for RI4M, because it did Blades of Glory and it's no longer supported (no updates). I've not got House of Chthon yet, coming Wednesday. From what I hear, this may be the one that starts RI4M down the road toward becoming obsolete. However, that would still be 1 for RI4M and 1 for DVDFab.

It's still got a lot of use left, even if it can't do every release.

1) DVD Decrypter to Rip (no help)
2) IFOEdit to Fix
3) PGCEdit & FixVTS to edit commands and Remap VOBIDs DVD Structure.
4) VobBlanker to cut logos (sometimes credits)
5) DVD Shrink to compress (rarely necessary)
The only thing extra from non-corrupted DVDs is the IFOEdit step. I do the others for all backups cause it helps improve playback & compatibility and does less wear on the laser. My older DVD Players no longer play commercial discs cause the structure is too complex, but still plays the backups!

then you must have a special version of dvd decrypter, because it wouldn't work for anyone else. Are you sure you aren't thinking of dvdfab decrypter?

I couldn't get RI4M to open Blade: House of Chthon. That's Blades of Glory for RI4M and Blade: House of Chthon for DVDFab. I'm waiting to see how long it takes AnyDVD to get updated. RI4M no longer being supported means this Blade is a no go. Used to be Fengtao used the excuse of waiting to get the DVD, wonder if Slysoft wants to use that excuse. ;) My thought is that if Slysoft could get the DVDs first in the past, they should still be able to.

AnyDVD is still a great program and I have no problems with how soon they get the few problems corrected. I have Fab and one day it will fall behind too. It's good to have both.

I agree with the thought. For me, a good program is one that works without too much hassle. I've got more than just those 2.

Anyone using DVD95copy? Maybe I'm the only one! That's what I use for compression. It produces better quality than DVD shrink when compressing higher than 80%. I can get decent results down to 65% using DVD95copy.
I use:
DVDFABdecryptor, to copy to hard drive
DVD95copy to shrink and remove foreign languages (generally don't remove whole titles because sometimes the family actually enjoys previews and such).
Nero to burn, with verification turned on always.
SureThing CD Labeller to print using Maxell white-top DVD+R's on Epson 340 printer.
Playback on Samsung BD-P1000 BlueRay player and Yamaha projector on 10-foot wide screen at 720p. So I can clearly see pixelation, if there is any.
Mostly, I like having seperate programs for each part because I copy 5+ dvd's at a sitting, so I rip them all first and give the source DVD's back ASAP, then can compress and burn later when I have time. Usually compress a few every day, collecting them in a "burn" folder on the hard drive, then once a month or so I have a burn-fest and burn 20 or 30 DVD's and label them. I get most of my label images from cdcovers.cc.

Edited: Not a lot are using DVD95copy-never heard of it. Most all the recoding programs give a nice result anyway.
