New Issue with iLo DVRHD04?

I've been having a problem (first one really) with my dvrhdo4 that I've now had for a month.
Sometimes lately, when I split a video with the edit function, the first section will be ok, but the section after the split point becomes unplayable.The player simply won't open the file. If I try to re-merge I'll get the disk error message. This doesn't happen all the time, only sometimes with no apparent reason.
The onlt thing I could think of was that the 1194 hacked firmware update was the culprit so I backtracked to 1193 today. I will see tomorrow if I still have the issue.
