I have a Sony DCV-TRV730 Camcorder. The first year I had it the firewire connector broke. It just broke again. Nobody around here will touch it. They sent it the first time to Sony to fix it. Sony charges a flat $350 fee no matter what they do to fix it. Now that the connector is broken again I have no desire to spend another $350 to replace a connector I most likley could do myself. The problem is knowing how to take it apart. So does anybody know of a repair place that charges a lower fee or does anybody know where I can find a service manual for this camcorder. Thanks

Try ebay. I've seen camcorder repair services on the site.
