What to do with movies that are too big

    OK I downloaded a movie and re-coded it to mpeg format and its 5.05gb I dont want to get a dual layer so is there anyway I can make this smaller to fit on a normal 4.7gb dvd.

    thanks..dont think the info going to help thou. Most of it for copy dvd to dvd and this download. I can use Shrink but the file is mpeg and I need to make it .ifo, .bup or .vob and I have no idea where to do that.

    Try Nero, DVDSanta, or use a video converting program that can split the mpegs into smaller parts (e.g. Power Video Converter, X Video Converter).

    You don't need to split it. Nero VE will convert it and burn it to your HD. Then shrink it with DVD Shrink

    Ok so you d/l'd a movie and RE Encoded it to MPG.. ok what was the format that you d/l'd was it a AVI? Divx or Xvid file....

    If it's AVI Nero will re encode it for you so it will fit on a DVD-(+)R ...
