hello, Have a couple of questions before I mod my Xbox any help would be great. I purchased Eecuter 3 mod chip I know what the purpose of what this does so you can play burned games. What are dashboard and bios and what are their importance to the Xbox. I have been reading up on this but not receiving full answers I want to do this right when I do this. Thanks Again!

You will be needing a bios file to put on your brand new chip when you get it. The bios is the actual thing that lets you play copied games...the chip is just what holds the bios file. Why doenst it come already on the chip you ask? Because it is illegal and microsoft will sue anyone selling a chip preflashed. A dashboard is like the main operating system. The dashboard you are used to is the original microsoft dashboard that boots up when there is no disk in your xbox. It has the memory, music, xbox live, and settings tabs on it. The most popular one for modding is probably evox (evolution X)
