Upgrading the HDD

    Is there a way to upgrade the hard drive without buying a mod chip but using only softmodding (softmod installer deluxe for example)?

    Yes , you can use an Auto-Installer such as Slayers 2.6 or you can even use Evox burned to a disc to format a new HDD through FTP.

    My XB is softmodded and I am getting error right now. What i was hoping to do was upgrade my HD. Even though I have tried everything I can think of i cannot get back to the unleash x screen or the Evox screen. when i get this fixed is the HD issue possible, and is Evox the only other way to get my computer to recognize the XB? Thank you for any help.
