i have been reading a bunch of threads, but no one addressed this so i am hoping it isn't true. my friend at work said that flashing or modding your Xbox can get you kicked/banned from using internet play on Xbox live. is this true? thanks.
theres a difference between "flashing" and "modding" i hope u know that, you need to nstall a modchip in ur box, then flash it, and you wont get caught as long as ur modchipis disabled in u swithced out ur old m$ stock hd
you are right in saying so, but there is so many people out there that can seem to think and would be better off for them to switch out hd, but again like u said it really matter
Xbox Live explained: First time your xbox logs onto xbox live service: ------------------------------------------------------- -M$ Checks for Authenticity of Legal Bios -M$ logs Eeprom information -M$ logs Hard Drive information ------------------------------------------------------- Next time you Log onto live: ------------------------------------------------------- -M$ Checks for Authenticity of Legal Bios -M$ Checks Eeprom information -M$ Checks Hard Drive information ------------------------------------------------------- If this information is different then you will get banned. So if you mod your system, make sure the hard drive you use (larger or stock) is the same as the hard drive that went on xbox live for the first time. Of course always make sure your chip is on disable mode. *Also note: They will ban the xbox not the account, but the account will be flagged. I personally have a seperate unit for using on xbox live only. Of course online services like xlink kai are free.
