Can anyone help? I am having problems with converting avi to svcd with some films that have gliches in them. The movie will convert fine, up until the glitch and then the audio loses sync with the video. So can anyone tell me how to successfully split an avi (Xvid) file and save it as another avi?
I've tried in Vdub but when I try to play it Media Player says 'unsupported file format' But it worked before I split and resaved it. Please Please Help !!!!!!!!

okay, so let me get this straight you are trying to convert and avi to svcd and at the same time split it? I don't know what the guides say but what I would do is first convert then split, is that what you are doing? On the convert if it has an audio problem first save the audio as a separate wav or mp3 file then convert the avi to svcd and when you do choose the audio file you saved and choose that as your audio source. then split the file and everything should work well. now what steps did you take exactly or is that what you did and it still didn't work?

Don't worry, I've sorted it. I'd like to thank you all for your help - I'd like to - but you didn't - so I won't.
