What's a good free dvd player software?

My friend's computer didn't come with a good one, so she can't watch dvds on her computer..which kinda sucks..
But what software (if it exists) would you recommend..anyone?

PowerDVD is the best one out there. At least.. that's what I use. =D

Hi JJYkim,
To watch DVDs in Windows Media Player, install the Free DVD codec:
http://ftp.tpnet.pl/vol/d5/programy/video/freedvd.zip
This should be followed by AC3Filter:
http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/codecs_and_filters/ac3filter.cfm
Many people find that audio volume could be higher.
Under AC3Filter > AC3Filter config > Properties > Main there is a box (bottom/left) containing Presets. The 'Loud' preset will both increase the Gains and tick the 'Normalize' box.

VideoLAN is also an amazing player for just videoes, clips, anything you find, although I prefer PowerDVD for DVDs.

VideoLAN has in-built codecs so you don't have to download them, very handy and useful.
