does the drive model matter

    hi there

    does any one know if the drive model matters when swapping the dvd drive over to a oem drive, i was looking to get a samsung sd 616 but i'm having trouble finding one for sale on ebay, local stores or on the net.
    is there another brand that can be moded insted of samsung if i can't find a samsung

    also i live in australia if that helps

    can any one help me

    drive models dont really matter as long it is compatable with the xbox, but some models do work better than others. Also, you still can use any oem model, but there is a process to get it to work with the xbox, so I would just recommend just getting a xbox compatable one.
