    is it possible to burn mpegs onto a dvd+r and hav them work on ur ps2 dvd player (my ps2 isnt modded)or does it hav to be .vob files

    I've never tried it, but I'm pretty confident that they have to be VOB's.

    Yes they have to be VOBS etc, and no the PS2 does not need to modded in order to play backup movies.
    Only backup games require a mod, either chip/swap disc/flip lid etc...........
