I heard that crows can speak 12 different languanges! LOL hey colinman, dont just say what you heard, give us proof why? the on thing I heard about next gen nintendo (code name: Revolution) is going to have some 3D stuff implimented, but have no idea how? but it is only a rumor.
To me Nintendo has been crap since the day of the N64, SNES is my favorite system ever though. They've always been trying to be creative and come up with weird ideas, I think that's why they lag behind Sony & MS. What makes them better this time, we will have to wait and see what strange ideas they have up their sleeves.
thans for the background achilles3, I heard this from some guy who works at a gamestore, seemed like he knew what tecnology and stuff was going to be in all three new systems and thought the nintendo was way better. I personally don't believe that,but who knows until they are released.
Dont ever believe anyone that works at a game store. In my experience, and I have been to tons of them, they always seem so WAY behind the times. I always seem to know WAY more than them and half the time they talk out of their ass. you will find a very rare game store that usually looks beat-up that have tons of import games and accessories. now those are the ones you want to go to for info because a lot of times they have information the big chain stores dont have. In any case, these type of stores are hard to find and usually wont give you much info unless you are friends with them. the best place to find info on the next gen consoles is here in forums like these. Dont get me wrong, there are a lot of people here that give a lot of bad info, but you can usually tell who they are because for one, they are usually n00bs. They usually start by saying "I know this guy who works for _________ (<- either Sony, M$, or Nintendo, you choose) and he told me that...." you know how the rest goes. its not that it is crap, but it is more the fact they try to appeal to the younger croud. Since Sony and M$ are so strong now, it seems to me they are trying to use Niche Marketing to me to survive. you can actually do some cool stuff with nintendo if you give it a chance (although Im a Xbox Man myself). I just picked up the Nintendo DS the other day, and I think it is great. The games are great (yoshi & Wario Wario Especially) and a lot cheaper than the PSP. In my opinion, you cant really compare the two though because they are just two different machines.
Somehow I dread the day the big N will become what had became of Sega. Let's hope that day will never ever come.
It will always be a battle against Microsoft ([bold]XBOX[/bold]) and Sony([bold]PS[/bold])...Until the next big ass console will comeout and kick their ass...sorry for my crued language...!hehehehehehehe!
Seeing is believing!!! Don't get me wrong Nintendo makes a great console, but to me it's for a younger audience. Right now, the battle is between Microsoft and Sony, end of story until proven otherwise. As for Me, I'll always be and Xbox man until the very end.
yeah I hear you man! same here. well unless Nintendo or Sony come out with something that is far better than the xbox 360. But from what I have been reading about M$ already won.
I"m for anything that's good...right now Xbox is on top, and their future looks very bright. Nintendo's problem was hesitation. With launch, 3rd party contracts & online play. And they wound up "odd man out". Never works, either you are on top or reaching for it. Anything else is just standing still. Anyone remember 3DO/32x/Wonderswan/Sega Saturn/GP32/CD-i/and soon to be Gameboy DS! All number 3's

Uhh what's the point of having a new system just to play the current Xbox games? There's a rumor that Xbox 360 will be backward-compatible, that means it can play both the old Xbox games and the new ones also. Have you seen some demos for the Xbox 360 games? http://www.teamxbox.com has some nice demos, I especially like the one for Dark Sector cuz it looks too good. Oh and Halo 3 is in the work and will be released on the same day the PS3 goes on sale, or so they say.
I knew there is going to be halo 3 on xbox360, are they going to remake older games with better graphics or have new features or something for the xbox360?
Ok the offical word on the backwards compatablitly is that They dont know yet. There are a few things they are not sure about yet or trying to still impliment and backwards compatablity is on the top of that list. They are trying to do it, but havent got it yet.
