On the MSCONFIG, is it better to just click all your application off? Would problems come about? I mean, are some programs or applications necessary to be running on the background? Thanx!

yes there are programs like your antivirus that run in the back ground. write down what is enabled & disabled in your msconfig before playing around with it. if get into trouble than go in safe mode to re-enable the ones you disabled or do a system restore.

I agree with ddp,I usually just google the program running to find out what it is then decide if I need it to startup.
