Hi I have avi file that plays OK on all pcs When I play on laptop through a data projector, the laptop image is OK but the projected image is black. Sound is OK. Any Ideas? Thanks
Its only this file problematic on projector? Other files or computer desktop is showed in colours in projected image? It's look for me that you have a problem with your projector configuration. Maybe your video-out configured in different system than that your projector? I don't understand about projectors but i think that the file is not the problem here! I've worked with a couple projectors and I agree, here's some things to look at. Are you connecting to the projector via the VGA monitor output port? If so connect a monitor to it and see if you have the same problem. If you are connecting the projector via some other video out port it may require a change in your laptop. I once had one where you had to go under monitor properties and switch between regular monitor and TV outs. These are just some ideas about the laptop, I don't know what to tell you about the problem if it with the projector except to say I've never seen one that worked everytime smoothly, they seem to be a difficult product in general.
Thanks guys, but I've found the problem after 3 months. When I turn off direct draw, it works fine. can't find a fix for this or a patch so I just turn it off. Cheers
