New Eurovox TX For MMDS

hi scouser,i have same problem with sky sports 2 tried the manual scan too no luck ,noticed its the only channel and that the signal has dropped on that channel

 

Have you tried a factory reset and rescan?

There was TP fault on the Ch**us MMDS network, seems to be resolved now.

 

Ta Scouser. will try tonite.i'm getting 85 channels at the moment does that sound about right or will automatic scan possibly find more?
and should i do automatic scan on a regular basis?

Area dependent but sounds about right and maybe as said above your TP has also settled. No need for a powerscan on a regular basis, unless TPs have changed or new channels are added to the line up.

 

scouser how are you, why is it that mmds have such fewer channels than true cable?is it that certain frequencies can't be transmitted?surely they have tech too counter this?

 

Thanks for the help scouser, it sorted itself out overnight, was the only channel affected.

I am having problems with my eurovox tx and was hoping someone could shed a bit of light on the problem. here is the story.
I have a eurovox already but i got another one for a mate so i hooked it up as normal to his mmds cable(the same as my own one) and i tried to install the channels but it only picked up 1 channel(now i got this box off another company as the place i got my own were sold out) so i presumed this boxed needed to be flashed..So i flashed the box in accordance to the info giving here.I presume it downloaded as while it was transfering the numbers on the box were going up..When it said the download was complete i hooked up the box as normal like my own but now the box seems to be jamed or stuck.When i turned it on the box was stuck on channel 2 and the box was not responding to the remote nor was anything coming on the tv..Now could the software have locked the box or does anyone know what happened here....Thanks for your help and time on this

 

The TX is for MMDS transmissions only.
You mention 'MMDS Cable', can you confirm if its N*L or Cho*us and if it is in fact MMDS or true cable ?

 

Its mmds....And its chorus....I was thinkin i might try download the software again ??
Any ideas??

 

Tried to download the software again and it come up on the box undl(which i presume is unavailable download)...it went back to freezing on the channel 2 again????

 

This error is caused by incorrect flashing.

Download this file from Eamos here use winzip, winrar or any other unzip utility to unwrap it first.


SW downloads Procedure: You should download two times to revive boot file.

1) Turn off the STB

2) Access STB Loader 1.1.exe

3) Select Boot File only - > Press Browser and then select boot_e02.bin

4) Press “Execution “and then turn on the STB.

5) Wait until box automatically re-boots.



6) If successful download, LED Displays “boot -> 02 “ - > and then select “Download “ on the STBLoader 1.1.exe.

7) Press “Browser “and then EVX TX_20071210_v002.bin

8) Press “Execution “and Wait until box automatically re-boots.

9) If successful download, LED Displayed “boot -> 02 -> On “

OK, the box is now ready to flash and will now need the EVX TX_H_071123.bin flash putting on it as normal. You will get it here

Use the loader you have and flash again.

 

Ok all has worked up to the last point...I got the EVX TX_H_071123.bin
but i dont understand how to find the loader and flash again.If u could explain how to flash it step by step like previous that would be great as i am useless with computers...Thanks a lot
