If you have the pipe direct to the box then you dont have to worry about splitters ect, question I have a PVR starview the version is E_ver4.000,8 jun 2007 Can someone tell me the fixes that the new firmware address I have a prob that the box will intermittantly only record 10 mins of a selected program Thanks bulld
thanks a mill for the help , all's sorted now , just curious to no if there's any firmware to arrange the channels alphabeticly as you scroll through them
Yes you can download the bin file, but it was recomended to me to sort them yourself in the menu you will find channel edit ( have a play with it it is easy enough) bulld

i have a real starview box but i mssed it up and was wondering where i can get the files i need to put back on to it can any1 help ???
I know you say you have a genuine box, but better check first. Please click the SV EV Info link at the end of my post to compare clone V genuine boxes. You will need a null modem cable DB9F to DB9F. Null modem info http://www.maplin.co.uk/Search.aspx?criteria=L71BT&DOY=2m6 If your pc does not have a serial port you will need a USB to serial port adapter to use in conjunction with the null modem cable. USB Adapter info http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?Modu...daptor class= These two cable links are only for reference as they can be purchased alot cheaper on fleabay. All firmware/loader can be found in the link at the end of my post marked Eamos FTA Library. You will need the GTromloader V4, (Starvi*w Software Uploader), found in the Starvi*w software folder of the link. You will need version 4.00 firmware for GENUINES found in "Starvi*w" firmware folder. OR You will need version 2.57_FIXED firmware for CLONES found in "Starvi*w" firmware folder. Updating Firmware Connect your box and PC with a Null modem cable and switch on the cable box and put it on STANDBY. (The Starview does not need to be connected to TV to update it with GTROM) Open GTROM Loader software make sure that you set the correct COM PORT that matches the one that is being used Make sure App file only is selected, then click Bin File & browse to the firmware where you downloaded it to on your PC. Run the GTROM loader by pressing Download and you will see the % progress increase then Download completed message on your PC. Wait until you see the DOWNLOAD COMPLETE pop up on your PC before removing the NULL MODEM CABLE. The Starvi*w will then reboot Turn off and turn back on , then plug your tv cable and scart back in

Hi, need some help please. am unable to get anything on my starview box, have done numerous auto scans & reset the codes. it starts with'no signal',& after a scan i get 'scrambled channels'. (box was switched off for 2 weeks until 29th Jan by the way). thanks
Have you input the latest codes as I presume you dont have auto rolling firmware and put your key emu on?
