I've been reading a hell of a lot about creating x box back ups and ISO / xISO files etc etc and this all seems complicated but doable. My question is, if i were to download an x box game through an IRC programme like mIRC - is there anything speical i need to do to burn this an make it playable through a modded x box, or is it a case of simply copying the file to dvd? I'm new to all of this so please forgive ignorance if it's a stupid question!
Hi It all depends what format the file is when you get it. Chances are it is already an ISO, which means burn to disc. (If yo uuse stomp recordnow you can burn the iso to a dvd as a data disc, and when prompted "do you want to make as an iso" say yes. Stomp never fails to make a good backup) If its NOT an iso, chances are then its a series of zipped files or one big zipped file. In which case you need to get all the files together and create an iso for the xbox using qwix. (Or craxtion, but qwix is the best)
mIRC eh? More than likely that bad boy is coming in a .rar file or a .tar file. The .iso is inside, and you have to extract it. Hey djboogie! Long time no see. It's good to see you
Extract the iso from rars and burn with dvd decrypter always works and dvd decrypter is free and reliable. Im assuming you own the original
