Alright, im sure you guys are tired of hearin bout the spiderchip but heres another one... I got chip 1.1 and 1.0 box. I installed and everything worked, but every now and again it wont boot and does the two rebots and green/red on 3rd. when i go back to M$ dash it asks me to reset time and date... Does anyone know why this happens? How can I fix? TIA
i really wish the spiderchip people would quit selling their product. Being a victim of the spiderchip, i sought out the chip that solved my problems. the xenium ice. Regarding your chip, were the legs soldered in for added support. dropping the xbox or hitting it with something on accident can jar a leg loose. The problem sounds like a loose leg. bad connection with one of the legs to the motherboard will cause your symptom. Careful, those things are fragile.
Every once in a while, my chip becomes unseated. I have to open the box and re-align the chip so it makes good contact with the board. That's what I get for not knowing how to solder.
