I took the duox2 chip off and the xbox kept fragging green to yellow can somebody tell me how to fix xbox please thanks.the xbox keeps normally for the first three second then lights off then yellow blinking. no video or audio then makes funny noises on xbox
So it starts up, then starts blinking in an amber color. Is your video cable connect correctly? On http://www.llamma.com/xbox/ he said that once he had this same problem and this is why... "I currently have an Xbox that displays this error when connected to the standard composite video cable but boots fine when connected to a RF adapter cord." Try checking over your solder points again and make sure to desolder everything very well.
I took the chip off but the same thing keeps going on but nothing appears on t.v but i didn't take off the pinheaders would it matter if i took off the pinheaders or not please respond if you don't have nothing to say thank you
pimpdawg thanks for your information i know whats my problem know it christmas lights doesn't boot any more so its dead except for the hardrive as the dvd drive so keep on pimpin.
hahah, sorry I couldn't help you out more man! Leaving the pinheaders in will not do any damage, and your Xbox will still boot up fine with it in. So let me get this straight now, is your Xbox doing the 3x reboot and then showing christmas lights or just nothing at all? If it is showing christmas lights, it's not quite dead yet. We could maybe try and dig into your problem a little further if you would like to try and spare $150 on a new Xbox....
na i rather get a used one like a v1.0-v1.5 because its too hard to mod the v1.6-v1.6b. I'll get one at a pawnshop about 80-60 $ any ways if i get alot disc error's i'll just switch the dvd drivers with a toshiba the best dvd driver that came out the for xbox.
