Hi, I have xbox v1.6 and a spider chip. Flashed bios with X2 4981, now the above error. (HD needs to be locked). I have configmagic on my PC, how do i get it on the xbox and what settings will i need? I hope X2 4981 was the right bios? thanks for help in advance.
nope that is the wrong bios...x2_4981 is not compatible with 1.6 xbox's...you nee the m8_16 or the x2_5032
whoops. The xbox frags when modchip is switched on. Service error 05 when modchip is off. So what do I do now?
buy a real modchip and throw away your piece of shit spiderchip. that is your only option to get your xbox running again.

since you have a 1.6 xbox i would recommend the xenium spice and same bios's i recommended before m8_16 or x2_5032 either will work
