I have been trying unsuccessfully for far too long to burn my mkv files to dvd so I can play in a standalone dvd player. I have read several forums and thought I had the info to do it but I am still failing. Up till now, I have been using virtualdubmod to convert the mkv to avi so I can burn with nero. I have the mkv codec thing I needed and also the lame mp3 program for the audio. Even after using these tools and following peoples exact instructions, .....I still have no sound. I have seen that this is a common problem with converting mkv files, but I am yet to see a solution that works for me. If someone thinks they can help then please drop me a line on here. well, after hours and hours of reading and pissing around.....I finally figured it out. No thanks to anyone here I might add. Well, thanks for your time and your can disregard this post
