Are internal analog video capture devices better?

    All I want to do is record video from my analog camcorder onto my pc in a format that I will be able to broadcast over the Internet and copy onto CD; not DVD as I don't have a DVD recorder yet.

    avi or mpg, I guess.

    Can anyone make a reccomendation for me?

    I just bought Instant VideoMPX by ADS Tech for $80 but read some reviews that said it was really bad. I havent opened the box yet.
