I read a thread once about the same problem but there wasn't a solution then... So I'll ask it again.. I currently have a JVC GR-dvl150e camera with dv connection... I want to use my firewire port to connect it to the pc and to upload the images on the tape... but if I connect it nothing happens... not a sign from the pc that the cable is conected, not a little notice that plug and play is starting to work... I've tried it on my 2 computers (systems couldn't be more different) WITH THE SAME XP installation ... and its the same with both of them (= nothing)... WHAT CAN I DO plz help
Is your camera set to play/edit mode? I have a sony and if its not sqitched over to the play/edit mode (not camera mode) it wont notice it with the plug and play. Later
