I just got Spruceup, the full version. I found it at a computer show. This guy thatsold software had the biggest boothe I ever saw, and lo and behold in the section with old, discontinued, outdated, and noname proggies, there was an OEM copy of SpruceUp DVD Authoring Software. Just a disc in a sleeve with a silver sticker with serial number on it, and a peice of paper with install, and activation instructions, and web adress. I snapped that sucker up faster than a scared jack rabbit. I tried Maestro, and scenarist but both are harder than Chineese Arithmatic. Anyhow:
I need help.
I've got just about all the authoring down pat, but the daggon thing wont import any of my Mpeg2's, or mpeg1's even. There all DVD, and Spruceup compliant. It starts importing and gets to %8-%12 then stops moving as though locked up, but it aint. Then after a while the little import meter (I guess thats what you call the thingy with the bar that says Xpercent) just goes away as if it wasn't even opened and nothing apears in the media window.
Now I did try de-muxing the files. I name both the .m2v, and .mpa the same name, put them in the same folder and try. It imports the m2v fine, but not the audio. It gives no indication that the movie is linked to the audio in the folder on my HD. The audio is mpeg1 layer2 48,000khz. So I know that it is compliant to Spruceups requirements for audio type and khz.
Any help would be great as it does everything I want for authoring. Any other authoring programs that do whatI want are 300 bucks or more. My cousin whom lives in the UK said he could get one I forgot what it was for about 120quid then I realized thats almost 300bucks US. All I really want is to be able to use my owne image as the menu background, the whole BG not just in a small area in a template that say for instance looks like a brick wall. I wanna be able to use text as buttons, and make my owne buttons, and most important to define my owne chapter breaks, and link them to buttons on a menu, buttons I choose, not limited to a thumbnale with a frame in it. Spruceup does this all. All the cheaper proggies don't. DVDitse and pe do but they are $299, and $599 respectivly. Ulead DVD Movie Factory does, but its $299 as well. So... If anyone can help me get this working correctly I'll be indebted to you forever
