hey, i have the clear green halo box, i think its 1.4? i was wondering, what is a cheap no-solder mod i can use in it and where should i buy that mod from? i have a blue crossover cord(it said crossover on the ebay site) it says "superior essex 4 pr 24 marathon (ul)................. cat 5e 227 3h" will this cable work for ftb'ing? can i use +r dvds in my xbox to burn games on? and what do i use to flash my xbox? the one from djboogie sounds the best, could someone help me get that? thanks alot!
Check out http://www.system-mods.com/index2.php for your modchip. You can use your crossover cable for FTPing as long as you use 2 NIC cards and not a router or hub. If you use a HUB or router you will need a regular network cable. Im pretty sure you can use DVD+R disc to burn games onto. I use RiDATA RiTEK DVD-R's and i havnt had ne problems with them. To flash your chip, you can do it a couple ways. The easiest is to install your mod chip and then flash it. Do some searching in the forums or go to www.xbox-scene.com and search. You will need to get the right bios for you chip and xbox. Again just search and you will be able to find out everything you need.
