Quickest convertor

    Hi all,

    I have tried DVD-AVI and have just tried TMPGEnc - Plus v2.521.58.169 but both take 6hrs plus for a 2 hr movie.

    Is there a faster way even if i have to pay for a diffrent program?

    Hi Flightboy,
    Using my PC (specs below) and GordianKnot
    http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_encoders/gordian_knot.cfm
    it takes maybe 4 hours to finish a 2-pass rip to XviD AVI.
    This is with all XviD quality settings maxed out, of course!
    The first pass takes a little over an hour (~30fps) and the second pass takes longer (~15fps).
    Don't worry about time too much when making MPEG4 AVIs - let it run overnight or whatever...
    Quality is everything :^)
