The Maxtor 250GB harddrive spends at 7200rpm, the x-box only support harddrive that spends at 5400rpm. I want to know what I can do so that the xbox can support harddrives that runs at 7200rpm.
Yes I have already installed the chip with an western digital 160GB harddrive it runs at 5400rpm, but I want to put in the 250GB maxtor hdd.

all you gotta do is put the hd into the xbox, format it and install all the goods...i got 2 7200rpm drives that i switch in and out all the time, i don't know where you got your info but your hd will work just fine...it will run quite a bit hotter since it is 7200rpm so you may want to increase your cooling.
