I heard that you can change the refresh rate on the Gamecube by holding down the B button when it's booting up... but it doesn't want to work on my machine.

WHEN do I hold down the button, and how long does it usually take??

So far I've tried... holding it down when the G comes up (like you would hold down the A to take you to the memory card screen), and held it down on the memory card screen, also.

NOTE: This is to play PAL games on NTSC machines and vice versa... I read that if you hold B it asks you if you want to play at 50Hz or 60Hz.

    Any help appreciated.

hmmm for me it worked. I use a PAL cube and you can change the vieo mode form 50 to 60 HZ.

Don't know if US/JAP cubes support this.
