Hello, all. This is my first post in what seems to be a great community. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone had a clue of how to properly adjust the 'Picture Clip' setting in WinAVI. I backup a lot of fansubs, and the bottoms and edges of the subtitles are cut off when I play them back on my TV. It'd be great if someone could shed some light on this for me, as I feel I've done tons of research on the subject, only to find threads saying to 'not mess with it if you don't know how to use it.' That isn't very useful help, to me. :p

    Thanks

I noticed that most of my fansub files are 640x480, but when I use winavi to create dvd files the vob file is 720x480 with aspect ratio 4:3. Could this be the problem? I'm trying to figure this out too. 720x480 is not a 4 to 3 ratio, but I think that's the format for dvd.

I've been trying to figure it out on my own, but no luck. I've tried TMPGEnc, using the NTSC 4:3 525 line filter. I still get the exact same results of cut-off subtitles after I tried to resize the video. Yeah, I think the problem might be that the VOB file's resolution is bigger than what the original file's is. Could be wrong, as I'm virtually a newbie to this.
