    I put together compilation DVDs of TV shows I've recorded with the latest Nero and sometimes I need to make a copy. Using the "copy DVD" feature never works - says the DVD is blank or something. What am I doing wrong?

    If the original DVD contains Audio_TS and Video_TS folders, try this:

    At Nero Recode, click 'import dvd', then go to and highlight the Vido_TS folder, confirm, and that's it.

    Interestingly enough, I'd discovered by trial and error that I could do it through Nero recode, but why won't it make a copy?

    I don't quite understand you here. Did Nero Recode work?

    Yes, could alre4ady do that. When using the copy DVD function, it should do just that - not tell me there's nothing on the DVD...

    Yes, thanks, but I'd like to figure out why the copy function doesn't work...

    @loopyloop - let's try something -

    download Nero info-tool from here - http://www.snapfiles.com/get/neroinfo.html

    Run it, note down the following, and paste here. Here's what mine shows -

    click on the drive tab, note down the firmware version
    [IMG]

    click on configuration tab, note down the DMA fields, ie on or off
    [IMG]

    it may be worth clicking on the aspi tab, and note down anything that might be missing

    then download dvdinfopro (free) and do a media info check and post details here
