the camera i have is a JVC GR-DVM76. how do i figure out if my camera supports passthrough? i already looked in the manual and it doesn't say. the reason i am asking is because i want to convert vhs to dvd via camcorder. i have firewire and the camera hooks up to a vcr. the only problem is that i can't figure out how to configure my camera to take in the vhs footage.

Well From what I have read on the Net is No you do not Have Passthrough ...You don"t even have any Analogue Imputs from what I have read to Hook your VCR Up to the Camcorder....
Supposedly all it has is a S-Video Port but that is an S-Video Output not output....

The 3 Reviews I read about Your JVC GR-DVM76 Camcorder didn"t mention it haveing any Analogue Inputs or any Passthrough Feature at all....

    ....Cheers
