or if you want to stay free for a while longer, try just two - DVD Shrink, DVD Decrypter (being kept up to date by the creator lightning uk - this can deal with ALL current protections)

they're the only two things i use (i use Shrink for virtually all movies, the rare odd film it can't handle, Decrypter CAN)

    Creaky,

If you have Decrypter, then you don't need AnyDVD, right? I use both shrink & decrypter, and Decrypter seems to finangle around codings. Sometimes you have to decrypt a long DVD > the 4.7G, then I shrink it to fit. A long process, but I have a s/l DVD burner, and it works. <=== think it's time to get with it and get a d/l DVD burner.

that's exactly right (as long as decrypter is kept up to date that is, which so far it is, lightning uk is a hero); i have a D/L burner but am not interested in D/L media, partly cus of cost, but mainly as i only ever do movie-only, so everything fits on single layer anyway; so i don't think i'll bother even when the cost comes down more

on my machine, speed is not an issue; shrink takes about 15mins max to do most films; decrypter would maybe take a bit longer obviously if i end up decrypterising ALL files off a dvd to hard disc; and if i then had to use Shrink on the decrypterised files it would still be quite quick, then only 8mins to burn at 8x or 15mins to burn at 4x

there is way to get around the 21 days free trial. I think you can figure that out, just use common sense.

    Guys

I downloaded Clone DVD 2 today. I found that there are no major diffrences to the first Clone DVD 1.

Can anyone tell me what the major diffrences are or post the link to the guide plz??

    Thanxs

ok, it was worth mentioning (i did see you said they were the same difference so was nt confused whether you have the 'other' program, was more concerned that i'd read there is another product out there with the same name and was just highlighting it so you could check just in case). Sorry, haven't done my usual searching so just thought i'd mention it on the offchance...

creaky, I think they're from different companies.

The major difference between clonedvd and dvdcloner2 is that clonedvd can split a d9 movie to 2 d5 disks. There is a website where you can buy these programs with a discount.

The main diference is that elby or elaborate bytes brought out a great program where as your dvdcloner2 is a piece of crap
