Ok, so you have already installed the chip, cool cool, the hard part is done.

Here is what you need to do,

    1) Flash your chip w/ the newest X3 bios --- You can flash via http (over internet) if you would like. Then you don't have to waste a disc putting the bios on that. Find the bios on this site, http://www.x-b-o-x.net/modules/mydownloads/viewcat.php?cid=69 Look for the X3 3029 file on this page. It is not the newest bios (a few months old) but it works perfectly.

To learn how to flash your chip, go here, http://www.teamxecuter.com/flashbios/ or here, http://home.comcast.net/~x3guide/Old/index.html

    2) Next, load the Evolution X (EvoX) dashboard on. To find this dashboard, just look for it in the xbox-net site I gave you above. Go to this site, http://home.comcast.net/~x3guide/Old/index.html and click the "dashboard installation" link to learn how to install the EvoX dashboard.

    3) After you have done both of those things successfully, then you are done!

About backing up your games, all you have to do is get Craxtion 4 or Qwix and you can rip the disc that is in your Xbox drive to your PC's hard drive using a feature inside that program. Or else you can DL games you legally own off the net.

If you don't feel like doing this yourself or are having troubles, this site, http://webpages.charter.net/modchipzone/ will flash your chip + load the dashboard on + load on roms and emu's + load on useful Xbox programs for only $25! And that includes insured prioriy mail return shipping. So you can check that out if you would like :)

You are cool and super helpful! Thank you. I have flashed my bios w/ X3 and I get the cool rox my box logo. I don't have the dash board yet but I am sure I can get it now. wghat I got before your help was Slayers. Didn't do anything yet w/ it. Think I should use it? What does the dash do for me? What do slayers do for me? Last question and I ll stop being a pest. Games Xcopy? Ever use? A guy I know is Backing up orgional xbox games by simply using that program. He reads the xbox game with his PC and games xcopy the burns to a dvd. He is doing it. Unfortutly he doesn't know why its working. He bought the chip X2.? on ebay already flashed. When I told him what Im doing he thought I waas crazy. This is driving me nuts because I just want to do the same. Anyway I've wasted enough of your time. Thank for all your help. :)

hahaha, thank you for the compliments....

Well, since you know what your doing and all, I would just say don't worry about loading up slayers, so just forget about that. The dashboard is basically like a main menu for your mod chip. It allows you to see what games and programs are on your Xbox's HD so you can run them from it. It is just like a GUI.... (graphical user interface) like a computer uses.

I've used GamesXCopy in the past and am a so-so fan of it. However no matter what your PC drive will not be able to read an Xbox disc, so I don't know how that guy you know is doing it, unless he has a custom Sammy drive that he modified to allow the PC drive to read Xbox games, but that mod is VERY difficult to do.

Just DL Craxtion 4 and use that to transfer your games to your PC's hard drive and then make the file you got into an image file and burn it with DVD Decrypter. If you need more help, PM me....

ok i would like to add sumthing on to what was said. (sorry for it bein 10 days later) PimpDawg u know exactly wut ur talkin about :p. personnally i backup games myself and play the backups. i have like 20 of em. ok the way i do it and it like always works is that u have to get qwix, flashfxp, qwix doesnt really work at getting the files)and hook ur xbox up to a router. if u dont have a router say so and ill help u there. load up flash fxp and then ur xbox. copy the IP adress and put it in flashfxp and use username: xbox password: xbox. after ur in the xbox go to D:/ drive and copy all to files into a folder. i suggest making 3 copies onto your hard drive to make sure that u got all of the files. then load up qwix and select make an iso then load up the folder and create. next, burn the iso onto a dvd+r (+r and +rw works the best) using a program like nero. then just pop it into ur xbox and it plays!!! :p hope this helps!
