first of all the act of modding or adding onto your ps2 is completly legal as long as you didn't steal it. second if you want to save games on your hd i have read you have to have a official ps2 hd to do it the maxor hd is not recognized by the ps2 so unless you can find a mod to you hd i dont know how it would work. and again any thing you do to you playstation is your biss as long as you own the software you can keep it in any media you want(you can legally copy your own games for back ups). cya
