Hi, I was trying to save an X-File disc to use DvDShrink later and DvDecrypter stopped, could you read the log and let me know what the problem might be and if there is a way to correct it. I have burned many X-Files discs and have never had this problem.

Your disk is either dirty, scratched, smudged or has some imperfection in it, try cleaning it, or take it back and get another original :~)

.....I've been watching them from the beginning over last few months and am up to season 6. But to get back on topic, in addition to arniebear's reply, maybe turn on brute force option and see if that gets any further...

Well it so happens to be the disc, I guess I should have checked that first before I posted, sorry about that. It is terribly scratched up and so I will get another original.
Thank you for all of your help I really appreciate it!! :)
    Max

These errors may occur, but the data may still be there, if its a DVD
you can still write the image to disc with no flaws.
It may look bad in the report but you still get a good copy.

Try ripping everything except the bad VOB.

Then go back to it, and try just ripping the bad VOB and direct it to the folder for the rest of your files, and try the 'brute force' option aswell................

yup, i sense a few x-files episodes viewing when i've replied to any outstanding posts. Scully......(sighs deeply)

but back on topic, what baabaa suggested is the best option, i always do that if i'm trying to copy/paste from bad media (shudders) or ripping from an original; get all the good files off first, then attack the troublesome file(s) 'til they give in. Common sense really, unless the bad media fairy wins :)
