hi, i was just thinking that sony and microsoft will be battleing over people to buy their new products so the prices will be lower than expected f they are released at similar times.

Its too still early to tell. Ya maybe cheaper than "expected" BUT still far from cheap.

Based on past experience with consoles (NES vs SMS, SNES vs Genesis, PS vs Saturn vs N64 vs DC, DC vs PS2 vs XBox vs Gamecube) I'd say expect the systems to be virtually the same price (300$)

No i think that there is far too much hardware in the PS3 for it to cost only $300.

hey i have an uncle who is an electrical engineer for the sony company and he said the price might be about 400 to 500$ i asked if i could play a Ps3 for a little while but the managers said no(Bummer)

The cells are gona be a highly raised bar in the console/pc world. and its not gona be 300 bucks for a ps3,, atleast 400,
