Hello everyone. I have been going through the threads in the this forum and cant really find what I am looking for. Please excuse my ignorance on this.. But I would like to run my TV sound through my Computer speakers being they are surround sound. Where do I begin to do this.. what information do ya'll need from me to help... Again excuse my ignorance Thanks,
u had a question and you asked it, that isnt being ignorant. anyway, i need some more info. does your tv have an audio out plug? and does each speaker have its own separate plug?
Yes on the back of my TV I have a Right & Left audio output... My computer speakers are BOSTON BA635 ... the speakers have the main BOOSTER I think is what it is called then the speakers each have a cord that comes from it and then into the back of my computer? Did that answer your question or did I go around the world and not answer!??? Thanks
oops I lied... my computer speakers have only ONE cord that plugs into the back of my computer NOT 2 like I thought! Sorry bout that
im assuming that the cord that plugs into your computer is a 3.5mm cord. so u could buy an adapter to convert the end of the plug to two rca ports. then u could run standard audio wires from the tv to the cord from the speakers. the only problem would be havin to unplug the speakers from the tv and reconnect it to the computer if u wanted sound from the computer. if you go to a place like Radio Shack and explain the cord sizes you have they should be able to tell u exactly what u need.
